Bethwyn Serow
Bethwyn has been Executive Director of the Australian Major Performing Arts Group (AMPAG) since 2012. Starting her professional career in screen production, she has extensive experience in arts administration, policy development, advocacy, industry research and industrial relations and, in her early days, she also worked behind the scenes in theatre.
Before joining AMPAG, Bethwyn worked with Screen Producers Australia, as both Production Executive and Policy Manager, ABC television, BBC television and other Australian and UK-based television production companies. She has also worked with creative government agencies; NSW Film & TV Office, Film Australia and Australian Film Commission and served on a range of government and industry committees and working groups including; attraction of offshore film productions, screen industry advisory group on international trade, development of industry codes of practice and industrial agreements and creation of industry seminar series and forums. Bethwyn has served as a judge in the annual CHASS Australia Prizes since its inception in 2013, is a Fellow of the Institute or Managers and Leaders, with a BA Communications (Film) graduate from UTS and postgraduate certificate in arts management at UTS’ School of Business.
