Government Audit Must Engage with NFP Sector

20 November 2013

CCA’s submission called the Federal Government’s National Commission of Audit to take into account the largely untapped policy and program development resources that reside in Not for Profit organizations.

Prepared with members along with other organisations working in and with the not-for-profit sector, the submission outlined a number of significant issues identified by NFP’s as compromising productivity, which if addressed could directly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Government expenditure.

‘The level of counter-productive compliance activity and lack of performance based management is not only an example of government inefficiency and waste, but is also having a negative impact on not-for-profit organisations, governments and the broader community. It cannot continue.’
